Short Video Competitionfor the 53rd "Earth Day"

On 22 April 2022, the 53^rd Earth Day with the theme on “Invest In Our Planet” will come. The UNESCO International Research Centre on Karst (IRCK) is hosting a short video competition, aiming to raise public’s awareness on environment protection, especially for the precious karst landscapes and fragile karst environment, and appeal more attention to be placed to karst water resources and rocky desertification rehabilitation

 I All about the competition

2. General requirements

All people are qualified to submit videos online. The competition is open to the public without any fees. The video must be within 3 minutes with high definition. Please send your video to wuqing@mail.cgs.gov.cn with your personnel information as name, telephone number and address included.

The video must be related to the theme of the Earth Day2022, It would be better if it can encourage people to protect the environment.

The video is required to be illustrated only by English for better popularization, also avoiding some unnecessary misunderstanding.

3. Schedule

Submission period: from April1to April 24

Evaluation period: from April 25 to April 28

4. Evaluation procedure

The videos will be scored by public votes (40%) and judging panel (60%). The public could vote during the submission. The judging panel will be organized by IKG/IRCK.

5.Final result: one first prize, three second prize, and five third prize, the winners will be granted certificates and prizes.

The final results will be released on the official Wechat account of IKG/IRCK. All winners will receive certificates and prizes in 30 days after the announcement. IRCK staff will contact with you later.

II Rules and regulations

1. The video must be original, no plagiarism is allowedor it will be disqualified. The original video must be reserved by entrants, in case of verification and other purposes.

2. The video must not be publicized previously. IKG/IRCK does not assume legal responsibility for disputes including (but not limited to) portrait rights, reputation rights, privacy rights, copyrights, trademark rights, etc. The legal responsibility is borne by the contributors. In the event of any of the above disputes, the organizer reserves the right to disqualify or withdraw the award.

3. Copyright, except authorship, of all submitted videos belongs to IKG/IRCK. The organizer reserves the rights to: use all submitted videos in books, exhibitions and communication activities freely, use all submitted videos for non-profit purposes without getting consent from the owners or paying entrants. The organizer will not disclose your personal data to the third parties.

4. IKG/IRCK has the final interpretation rights of the event.
